I have a Samsung S8 Plus and getting massive intermittent battery drain. After restarting the phone the Connect app always has the notification waiting icon. I uninstalled Connect and lo and behold the battery drain issue went away for at least a week. I reinstalled Connect and within three days the battery drain problem is back. If you were having battery drain issues after a software update, contact Garmin so they will at least have records of people having issues with this. And then I would suggest a master reset and full charge. Seems to be a LOT of issues with the Fenix 7s lately. Grateful for my 6 pro, never let’s me down! I did charge to 100% before setting it up, the battery surprisingly when arrived was completely drained, usually you'd want battery at around 50% for storage. As I was kind of checking things out on the watch the battery went from 6 days to 5 to 4 to 3 and when I went to bed it went down to 2 and 1. Hello folks, With the upgrade to 13.22 my Fenix 7 Solar (Garmin Connect iOS) consumes 12% battery per day, after cold start. With 11.28 the watch needed 6-8% per day without sun and activities.
If you check the Garmin forums, there are a lot of people with this random battery drain issue. Sometimes my battery will lose 70% over night. Garmin won't admit it or own up to it, and no real fix for it, even after months of it existing. It first appeared after going from 4.9 to 5.0 firmware, and has been present ever since.
My Forerunner 935 (with more or less the same 20.00 firmware version) is over 3 years old and battery life is about half wat it used to be. But that's for quite some time now. I thing at least since 13.xx. Either Garmin uses lousy batteries (normally after 500 charge cycles there should be 80% batterylife left) mJJP.
