Even if two cities are relatively close, if one city is closer to the fur producing villages all the fur will go there. Horses all day. Grab Aserai/Desert horses in Askar, sell to Sanala, Galend, Jaculan, Ocs Hall. Grab Steppe warhorses/horses and sell in Sturgia, Dunastica, Razih. Make bank, you can fluff about with mules and sumpter horses
For some reason the only shop I consistently make money from is a brewery in Chaikland. That shop makes me somewhere from 450-500 denars each day. I got no clue why but it just does on all my characters I've made so far. And that's roughly 6 characters. Doesn't take more than 3-4 days for the production to kick off either.
Smelting and Selling Weapons. Anytime you kill bandits or looters, which you should be doing to level up your troops, you will get a large amount of armor and weapons. You can then take these and sell them to your bank for a good amount of money.
